Bob Sura (1991-95): Sura (above) is the Seminoles' all-time leading scorer and played with a dynamic style that made him one of the program's most entertaining players ever.Sam Cassell (1991-93): A junior college transfer, he had an enormous impact at both ends of the floor and with his personality. He gets credit for the famous "wine and cheese crowd' line about crowds at the Smith Center.
Dave Cowens (1967-70): Considered the best player in Florida State history and it's hard to argue, considering he made the NBA's list of the 50 best players of all time.
Ron King (1970-73): Holds the school's individual game scoring record with 46 and he did something more impressive -- led the Seminoles to their only Final Four.
Al Thornton (2003-07): An exceptional talent, Thornton (above) finished second in ACC player of the year voting in 2007 while earning first-team All-ACC and All-American honors.—Ron Green Jr.

Good list.
Sam Cassell is my favorite. Is anything truer than the "whine and cheese" crowd that makes the Dean Dome the sleepiest environment in ACC basketball??
Guess FSU fans forget the 21 point come from behind victory the 'Heels put on them in our "sleepy environment." FSU - irrelevant in all sports now.
Thornton had a great couple years, but he was very raw as a freshman and sophomore. I would put Doug Edwards ahead of him. Edwards was solid all four years and played with better teams. Injuries ruined his NBA chances.
